I come across a movie title the first grader and this movie got me captivated when I heard a man of 84 yrs old called Kimani Maruge was enrolled in primary school in Kenya and I said to myself this man may be the first oldest man that started from primary school But I think deeper what if this story was real. I continued watching the movie until I got to a place where the man talked about how he suffered for this country and some other heroes. He even showed a mark how he was cracked by the British to surrender but he never did rather he stood for his country Kenya.
I went straight to Google and checked about this man called Kimani Maruge and I discovered that this story I just finished watching was a real life Story and I Cry out. I said to myself so fast that we have forgotten our history, culture and traditions. One of my philosophy friends will always say after passing hell in the hands of the colonial master during the time of slavery, they brought in Christianity as a strategy to distract our mind from the past and that is why history has never been thought of or taken seriously in some African countries.
Kimani Maruge is a hero in Kenya and he need to be study and he’s a legend for not giving up his goal to become a medical doctor and that was why he went back to school not just school but from primary one and history recorded that he was the first Oldest Primary School Student In The World.
In Kimani Maruge’s words, he will say, I will continue to learn till I have soil in my ears 😭😭😭. In life nobody is too big to learn.

I will always say HISTORY IS THE ORIGIN OF MAN OF KIND.
Please I think the producer of the first grader should be given an award in this movie. This is the kind of movie we should be shooting here in Nigeria so that we the youth can learn from our past. I rest my case
