Nigeria has been blessed with a different diversity of food. In various states and localities we have different sets of food being prepared in our locality. This local food enriches good health in our body system.
I could remember in the village when my grandma made soup in the mortar by adding crayfish, water, native maggie (ogiri), and black pepper to prepare delicious soup. If you use pounded yam to eat this particular soup, you will be like wow!!!
Today I will discuss about Abacha( English: Africa salad);
Abacha, popularly referred to as ‘’African salad’’ is a delicacy common to the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. Abacha made by Nkanu people of Enugu state is known to be very special and extra delicious.
Abacha is a meal that can be eaten as an appetizer to stimulate one’s appetite and it’s prepared from cassava and lots of vegetables, local spices and protein in the form of meat and fish.
It’s a balanced meal, with the right quantity of carbohydrates, protein, oil, vitamins and minerals.
As a traveller, Anytime you travel to igboland especially enugu try to eat Abacha ( africa salad) because it’s very delicious and nutritious to the human system.
