Exploring Oluwo market popularly known as Epe market is splendid and I feel good to be in this market. The tremendous outburst of this market in Lagos State is superb. This market is located in the Epe area where different products are being sold for different consumers to satisfy their human wants or desires. This Market occupancy is not only Yorubas but also Igbos, Hausas and other tribes selling all sorts of different products there.
I met this woman whose name was Alhaja Abemi Adejowo, who happens to be the Iya-Loja of the Market. She makes me to understand that this market was formerly located at Ayetoro market that have been existing for more than 30yrs now. After the dismantling of the buildings in the market they have to relocate their self to where they are now which is popularly known as fish market. I know so many people might be thinking that this market will be surrounded with fish dealers or they will be selling only fish inside the market. Well, getting there, I was made to understand that this market have other products they deal on like; Selling of garri, beans, rice, soup incredible, okrika clothes, vegetables leaf and many more including fish.
At the entrance of this market, you will see where other products are being sold except the fish. Getting to the end of the market, you will see thousands of fishes being sold by different dealer’s and at different prices.
I also discovered that other products are allowed to sell from Monday to Sunday except fish. The fish dealers are allowed to sell only 5 days.
Anytime you visit Epe try to visit fish Market.
