My Good Time With Lagos Brt Bus
I could remember when I enter a bus from ikorodu to oshodi which I paid #150, it took me like 3 hrs before getting to oshodi. Sometimes you might think the holdup or should I say the delay is caused by bad roads, I will automatically say “NO” and yes it might be bad roads. We don’t need to blame the bad roads anytime a hold up occurs, sometimes it might be the bus driver and conductor delaying you to your destination.
Like my experience from ikorodu to oshodi, after entering the bus, I waited for like 20 to 30 mins before the bus decided to move with the few passengers it had in the bus. After moving from their normal junction, they will still move to another junction and wave for other passengers to come in and that’s how it will continue over and over again until they finally get to the destination. Sometimes it might be caused by traffic lights, bad roads, offloading, accidents, car faults and the rest.
But with the help of the governor of Lagos State introducing “BRT* simply means Bus Rapid transit also called Busway or transit way, your journey will always be smooth. Like for instance, Normally if I enter normal bus from ikorodu to oshodi, I will get to my normal destination within 2 to 3 hrs but recently if I enter bus from ikorodu to oshodi using brt bus, from their load stand at their terminal to oshodi takes me up to 45minutes.
The means of introducing BRT BUS makes one’s journey more easier, smooth, and relaxed. Bus rapid transit is a bus-based public transport system designed to have better capacity and reliability than a conventional bus system.
